Julia and Cody’s wedding day was the perfect blend of timeless tradition and garden romance, starting with a heartfelt ceremony at St. Anthony’s Parish and ending with an unforgettable celebration at Vizcaya Sacramento.
From the very beginning of the day, there was this calm, meaningful energy surrounding them—like they both just knewthey were exactly where they were supposed to be.

Julia and Cody chose to say their vows at St. Anthony’s Parish in Vacaville, a place that felt deeply personal and rooted in tradition. The architecture alone created such a stunning, reverent backdrop—the tall ceilings, soft light filtering through the windows, and the quiet anticipation before Julia walked down the aisle.
One of my favorite moments was Cody’s reaction as he saw Julia for the first time. It was one of those reactions you don’t have to exaggerate—it said everything.

The ceremony itself was emotional and intentional, filled with those quiet, meaningful glances and moments that often go unnoticed unless you’re really looking for them.
After the ceremony, we made our way to Vizcaya Sacramento for portraits and the reception—and this is where the day shifted into something straight out of a European garden party.

Vizcaya is one of my favorite venues as a Sacramento wedding photographer because it offers so much variety without ever feeling overwhelming. The vine-covered walls, historic architecture, and lush gardens create endless opportunities for romantic, editorial-style portraits.

Julia and Cody completely trusted the process, which allowed us to create some really stunning, natural moments. We leaned into movement, soft prompts, and letting them just be together—which always results in photos that feel effortless and real.

Golden hour at Vizcaya is unreal. The way the light filters through the trees and hits the gardens creates this warm, glowing atmosphere that feels almost cinematic.

Their reception took place in Vizcaya’s garden space, and it truly felt like stepping into an intimate dinner party under the stars. The combination of twinkle lights, soft florals, and the historic charm of the venue created such a romantic setting for the evening.

Every detail felt intentional but never overdone—perfectly reflecting who Julia and Cody are as a couple.

From heartfelt toasts that had everyone laughing and tearing up, to a packed dance floor by the end of the night, their reception was the kind of celebration that you never want to leave.
What stood out most about Julia and Cody’s wedding day wasn’t just how beautiful it was—it was how true it felt to them.

Nothing felt forced or overly staged. Every moment, every choice, every interaction felt genuine—and that’s always what makes a wedding unforgettable.

Julia and Cody, thank you for trusting me to capture your day. It was an honor to document something so meaningful.
